In today’s post, I’m going to walk you through the process of adding a trending song from TikTok or your favorite voice-over and using it for your Instagram reels.
I know a lot of you might be asking, well, why don’t you just find the sound over in Instagram?
Well, I don’t know about you, but it’s not always that easy. I’ve tried many ways from searching for the #hashtag or trying to search for a snippet of the most popular part of the song/sound.
I’ll tell you from my own experience that it’s not always that easy.
Are we TikTok Friends?
If you’ve been struggling with finding popular TikTok songs on Instagram, you’ve made it to the best post.
The head of Instagram has made several videos addressing the reach of Instagram Reels that display the TikTok logo. The algorithm doesn’t like it and they will limit your reach. So before you post your TikTok videos to Instagram remove the watermark first.
Here’s what you need:
You can also use Kinemaster to remove the TikTok watermark. Another alternative is a website called snaptik. Find it HERE.
Kinemaster is my go-to for video editing. I made an entire video on how to edit for beginners. If you need tips on how to edit short videos for your Instagram account, be sure to watch it. I use Kinemaster to edit my YouTube videos, Instagram Reels, and TikTok videos. Most of the time I use the in-app editor, but if I need to use another video editor, Kinemaster is it.
You can also use Kinemaster to remove the TikTok watermark. Another alternative is www. snaptik.com.
Start off by selecting your video in TikTok, go ahead and save the video to your phone.
Next, go over to Kinemaster, create a new project and use the 9:16 because those are the dimensions for Instagram Reels. Now add the TikTok video that you saved to your phone to the editing timeline. Then extract the audio.
Now you want to record the actual video. In the next step, you can do it two different ways. You can record it on your smartphone or record it inside the Kinemaster app.
Once you have both videos added t your editing timeline, go ahead and delete the TikTok video (after you extract the audio).
Trim any excess if necessary. Save the video to your smartphone and upload it on Instagram. Tag the creator if you can find them on Instagram.
